This deep sea creature is an assemblage created from the formerly lost drawings of ocean explorer, Josephina Petrovic. In the late 1700's, Ms. Petrovic had developed a ground-breaking system for deep diving. During these dives she saw many deep sea creatures (probably now extinct), which she made elaborate drawings of. These drawings were thought lost for many, many years, but were recently unearthed in the collection of the artists great aunt.
